After a lovely breakfast we head off to the lake and there are people selling everywhere and the pavements are full up with people cooking on the floor so most of the time you have to walk in the road. We have managed to dodge all of the sellers but then we have 2 difficult roads to cross and have a very insistent lady offering us a sample of a mini donut. I just keep saying no thank you but for some reason Jim falters and takes one and that's it she puts about 6 different donuts in the bag Jim has all of his money out and the woman sees pound signs or to be precise Dong signs. She then tells Jim they are 150,000 dong, by now I am saying just give them back to her or offer less but it gets noisy and we feel trapped goodbye 150,000 Domg the equivalent of £6 - more than we paid for our meal-lesson-learnt. Jim now has completely different attitude does not trust anyone which is quite lucky as he could have also fallen for the shoe scam as 2 men offered to sew his flip flop. Apparently they offer to sew your shoes but put solvent on and dissolve more stitches. I am sure not all sellers are like this hopefully it was a dodgy start.
