We have settled into a little routine here in Chiang Rai, up early for a walk along the old airport runway then back for breakfast which even for me now includes a salad course, how I am ever going to revert back to yoghurt, fruit and porridge is beyond me. The pool is lovely at La Luna so we spend some of our time swimming and reading and catching up with our diaries and have a trip along the river where people are still celebrating Songkran, there are lots of floating bamboo huts and people floating on the river in tyres waving to us, such a lovely atmosphere. We eat at the night market every night apart from one evening when we went to a place called Central Plaza on the recommendation of another guest - bit like being upstairs in Lakeside and I don't even get the waffle I had seen as the man has finished serving!! Even though we booked an extra day all to soon it is time to leave - last early swim for Jim, walk and breakfast and then it's off to the bus station for our three hour journey back to Chiang Mai Oh yes we really are getting the hang of this we saved £120 flying from Chiang Mai instead of Chiang Rai whoop whoopx
