The rest of Railay Beach 24th-28th March
We love it here so much that we booked another couple of days and will just stay the one day in Krabi before flying to Vietnam.
Every day we get up at 7 and walk to Phranang beach while it is still quiet and we can have a swim and snorkel before the crowds arrive on the narrow boats. Overlooking this amazing beach is a hotel called the Rayavadee it is hugely expensive ranging from £430 for one bed villa - £3,780 for three bedroom villa with pool and that's per night and not even a private beach as they have to share it everyday with all the visitors.
WHEN ALL THE VISITORS ARTIVE ABOUT 8.30 WE LEAVE
The rock climbing is incredible to watch as people scale the amazing cliffs.
Have managed to get 2 sunbeds everyday which are under the shade or to be correct we put them under the shade after moving the chairs about, it has been very strange in Thailand, except for Nai
Yang there have been no umbrellas on the beaches or around the pools hence we have seen a lot of burnt people.
Favourite restaurant would have to be Railay Family restauarant we have had fish from the bar-b-que noodle dishes and soups and they have all been good plus we have the added entertainment of a fire show most nights. Tonight however was extraordinary as a young boy and his friend aged about 9 picked up the pole that is used dipped it in the spirit and lit the stick. I was waiting for the man cooking the bar-b-que to run over and stop them but no he performed a whole routine urging the audience to cheer him on and then his friend put the spirit in his mouth and blew the flame!! Couldn't believe what I was watching definitely no risk assessment.
28th March: had our last walk on the beach and after breakfast checked out and went to see long tail boatman to catch a boat to Krabi. This went surprisingly well as we have seen people made to waituntil the boat is full or asked for more money but there were 8 of us so after loading our luggage we were on our way.
THINK THIS BOAT,AN BASED HIMSELF ON JOHNNY DEPP
Just a tad precarious getting off the other end as we had to climb across another boat, the boatmen did not offer his hand but I grabbed both as I made my way across.
